Assistant Service Technician

Bolair Fluid Handling Systems, Canada’s premium provider of industrial pumping systems for foam insulation, protective coatings and other difficult to handle fluids, is hiring an Assistant Service Technician / Rig Builder for our Edmonton, AB facility.

Job Summary: This role is a full time, entry-level position. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude and bring a great work ethic and be able to perform duties independently or within a team structure.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Primary role to assist in rig production
  • Technical repair work and system assembly
  • Repair of piston and diaphragm pumps and related systems
  • Acting as back-up for shipping/receiving functions
  • Maintaining day-to-day updates of activity reports and inventory usage
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse area
  • Other duties as required by management

As a qualified candidate, you possess the following skills, experience and education:

  • Experience in a related technical field would be an asset
  • Proven technical aptitude
  • Knowledge and safe operation of standard hand and power tools
  • A team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work comfortably in-shop or off-site at customer locations
  • A minimum high school degree with preference for post-secondary education
  • Technical certificates or education is an asset
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends occasionally when required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

Service Technician – Industrial Piston and Diaphragm Pumps

Job Summary: This role is a full time position. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude and bring a great work ethic and be able to perform duties independently or within a team structure.

Responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Technical repair work including troubleshooting
  • Repair of piston and diaphragm pumps and related systems
  • Involvement in Rig Production and system assembly
  • Maintain day-to-day updates of activity reports and inventory usage
  • Providing technical phone support to customers
  • Off-site service calls
  • Other duties as required by management

As a qualified candidate, you possess the following skills, experience and education:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related technical field
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: Spray Foam Insulation, Protective Coatings, Finishing
  • Familiarity with Graco and Titan product lines would be an extremely valuable asset
  • Proven technical aptitude in service and repairs
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to deal with internal staff and all external customers and vendors
  • Ability to work comfortably in-shop or off-site at customer locations
  • A minimum high school degree with preference for post-secondary education
  • Technical certificates or education is an asset
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends occasionally when required for service calls and/or vendor training
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
